Meditation for Release with Leslie Boyd
In this session of Yoga Nidra Meditation, you will learn the art of Body Sensing. In its most simplistic form, Body Sensing is using the wisdom of your body to live in the present moment. Access to this tool opens up creativity, personal growth and general well-being.
We will begin session with breath work that will calm the nervous system, gentle movement and a short lecture on your nervous system and how to use the wisdom of your body to find deeper resonance and connection to life.
The second hour, you be in a completely supported restorative yoga pose that will enable the nervous system to drop down into deep relaxation. From there, you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra meditation where the thinking mind will soften and the body can do the work of integration and recovery.
Leslie Boyd, MS, RYT: Leslie completed the 3-year Somatic Experiencing (SE) program in 2017. She believes the body has the capacity and inner engineering to heal itself. This belief informs her practice whether she is working privately with clients in a counseling setting, yoga therapeutics, or teaching an asana class. The practices she shares allowed her to find freedom from chronic pain and illness. She is passionate about sharing these powerful techniques.
