25 CE hours with Yoga alliance (16 contact hours + 9 non-contact hours)
Yoga and Ayurveda are two sister’s science, Yoga is a methodology to reach enlightenment and Ayurveda is a lifestyle to optimize health on all level: Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Both are complementing each other.
Teaching yoga with the support of Ayurveda allows to create a class regarding the personal needs of students, their constitution, the seasons, and the time of the day.
This training is designed for Yoga teachers eager to enhance their personal practice, their ayurvedic knowledge for group classes and private clients.
What you will learn:
1. Principles of Ayurveda
– The 5 elements
– The 5 Koshas
– The 3 doshas
– The 3 positives essences
– The 3 gunas
– Samkhya Philosophy
2. Ayurvedic view of Yoga
– Purusha (pure consciousness) and prakriti (universal nature)
– Teaching asanas, pranayama and meditation according to each constitution
3. Mental attitude and Sattva Guna
– Structure and doshas
– Energetics of Asanas
– Pranayama procedure
– Meditation and doshas
4. To build a group class
5. To create a program for private clients
