Leslie began practicing yoga in 2008 as a way to heal some health issues. When major life transitions occurred in 2010, her health issues spiraled out of control. Intent on finding a natural way to heal, she committed to a regular yoga practice. In 2012, she learned about all eight limbs of yoga – that completely changed her view on yoga and life. After learning meditation and pranayama and committing to a regular practice, she began to heal. It was also during this time that she decided to end a decade-long tenure as a school counselor and dive deeper into the healing parts of yoga. This path led her to begin training as a Somatic Experiencing practitioner as well yoga teacher training. Leslie got her RYT 200 in August 2015 from Sage Yoga Studios. She is currently enrolled at Sraddha School of Yoga, an alignment based yoga teacher training. Leslie holds private Somatic Experiencing (SE) sessions at Sage – feel free to ask her about it!
