Taina (she/hers) is a yoga teacher dedicated scholar-practitioner of yoga, specializing in its history, philosophy, traditions, and Sanskrit texts. She holds an MA in Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University, where her research explored the intersection of modern transnational yoga with social justice movements and activist communities.
As a yoga teacher and Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) educator, Taina blends revisionist history storytelling, embodiment practices, movement therapeutics, modern health science, and trauma-informed wellness. She is committed to creating equitable and accessible yoga classes for individuals of all ages, sizes, shapes, abilities, and backgrounds. Taina firmly believes in yoga's universal benefits and strives to offer a holistic experience that harmonizes the mind, body, spirit, and community for all her students.
