Hear From Our Grads

Sage Yoga is one of the strongest yoga ashrams I've encountered in the last 20 years as a yoga student, teacher and supporter. The vibe at Sage is welcoming, friendly, and you will find that all experience levels are welcome. For those that are looking for classes focusing on breath work, yin-yoga, postures and foundations, there are a range of classes for the full spectrum of students. My favorite are the hot + sculpt classes with weights; they are challenging with upbeat music and strong encouragement from other students.

Reyna and the other instructors are able to strike a beautiful balance between meditation, reflection, gratitude and self-care.

WOW WOW WOW! I can’t believe I haven’t written a review sooner. I cannot say enough amazing things about this studio! I don’t live locally but learned about this special place through some good friends while visiting, took one class with Reyna and have loved her ever since! I wish everyone could experience her teaching and the community that is Sage yoga.

P.S. OUTSTANDING customer service!!

Tell your friends.

Most importantly, you must attend or have attended classes at Sage Yoga for at least three (3) months and with at least two (2) Sage teachers.

  • What styles of yoga are taught in this program?

This training is designed to give you the tools to understand how to teach poses and breathing techniques effectively. Our goal is to provide you with a strong foundational training in hatha yoga to prepare you for the teaching of yoga beyond a specific style. The style you adapt will naturally come from the experience of your own practice and using your own perspective and interpretation.

  • Will I be ready to teach after completing this program?

Upon completion of this program, you will have a toolbox of techniques and methods for teaching yoga. The practice teaching sessions will provide you with a highly experiential process of learning how to effectively communicate the information to others, finding your teaching voice, and developing language that is authentic and unscripted. Consider teacher training as the beginning of your journey and something you will cultivate for many years ahead.

  • Are there required books?

You will be given a list of required and suggested books upon registration.

  • How much time will be expected of me on a weekly basis?

Aside from the regular scheduled days of training, expect to add 3-5 hours per week for home practice, practice classes, and homework assignments. This program requires focus, dedication, and time commitment so please consider your availability carefully before registering.

  • Will I be a registered yoga teacher when I complete the program?

You will be a Certified Yoga Teacher through Sage Yoga Studios, as a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. After completing our program, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance to be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).

  • Will there be teaching opportunities?

While we cannot guarantee a teaching position for every graduate of our YTT Program, we prioritize our graduates when considering candidates for new teaching roles as they become available. Upon successfully completing our program, you'll be at the forefront for these opportunities. To help you start your teaching journey promptly, we also offer opportunities to substitute teach, allowing you to gain practical experience and become an integral part of our teaching community.

  • What happens if I miss a day?

Up to 2 missed days can be made up with additional homework. Missing more than 2 days will require in-person makeups at an additional cost.

  • What is the cancellations policy?

Cancellations made up to 15 days prior to the start of the program will receive a refund, minus the deposit fee. There are no refunds within 15 days of the start of the training.
